Clyde Hobby was a native of Pasco County, Florida whose practice of well over 50 years included a wide variety of real estate, development, banking and civil litigation. He was AV®/Preeminent-rated (by Martindale-Hubbell) and had extensive experience in real estate, land use and development. Mr. Hobby was involved in the purchase, sale or entitlement of a very large number of large tracts of land in Pasco County. He was a graduate of the Stetson University College of Law.
Mr. Hobby’s experience in real estate and development included representing numerous international, national and local developers and builders in real estate transactions, negotiating and drafting a wide variety of purchase and sale agreements, easements, leases, restrictive covenants, and development and utility agreements with local governing bodies.

Mr. Hobby also had extensive experience with general civil litigation. His record includes nine reported appellate decisions in Florida courts, including two at the Florida Supreme Court. Mr. Hobby represented clients in numerous bench and jury trials and had significant experience in administrative hearings conducted under the Florida Administrative Procedures Act.
In addition, Mr. Hobby served on several boards of directors for Florida banking corporations and as their general counsel. In connection with these projects and clients, he is experienced in Florida and Federal banking law and regulation, reviewing and advising clients regarding various types of instruments and loan documents, including:
Mr. Hobby was a former Judge of the City of St. Leo, Florida, former Small Claims Court Judge of Pasco County, Florida, former member of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee for the 6th Circuit and former lobbyist and legislative consultant for the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners. He served as a member of the Florida Post Secondary Education Planning Commission (former chairman), the Pasco County Planning Commission, the Board of Overseers of Stetson University College of Law, the Southern Regional Education Board, the Board of Directors of the Florida Sports Foundation, the Citizens Advisory Committee for the adoption of the original Pasco County Comprehensive Plan, the Pasco County Land Development Ordinance Review Committee and the charter President of the Seven Springs Rotary Club.
