Clarke G. Hobby is a native of Dade City, Florida and attended Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa.  Mr. Hobby received a Bachelor of Arts (History) from the University of Richmond, Virginia in 1992 and a Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in 1995.  Mr. Hobby has practiced law in downtown Tampa and Pasco County since 1996 and founded the firm’s Tampa office in 1999.

Mr. Hobby is AV®/Preeminent-rated (by Martindale-Hubbell) and has been named as of one of Tampa Bay’s Top Lawyers by Tampa Bay Magazine for several years.  Mr. Hobby represents numerous clients within the real estate and development business.

His  transactional practice includes:

• Representing developers, homebuilders and large landowners in numerous jurisdictions in obtaining local land use and development approvals, including master-planned developments and developments of regional impact

• Negotiating and drafting a wide variety of purchase and sale agreements, easements, leases, restrictive covenants, and development and utility agreements

• Representing major lending institutions in commercial lending transactions

• Representing and advising small and large clients in the creation, operation, purchase and sale of various business entities, including drafting and negotiating LLC operating agreements and shareholder agreements

• Structuring and drafting non-residential declarations of condominium and supporting documentation

• Reviewing and drafting architectural and engineering contracts, construction and development contracts
